My Journey to Tarot...
Dear Visitor,
Are you a believer in fortune telling? I certainly was not. I couldn't get myself to believe that a bunch of charts or a deck of cards could hold a key to our lives. All of us associate our parents consulting a Panditji who will peer through books, charts while rattling off some planetary gibberish to arrive at auspicious time, place, partners, etc. We mocked at them, atleast I certainly did until Sep-2003.
It all changed when just out of sheer curiosity and to kill my boredom I joined a Tarot Reading class. Little did I know that my life was about to change. Since then I would practise Tarot Reading for myself and a few close friends. I don't think I realised it then but a lot of them kept coming back to me repeatedly. I started growing in confidence and decided to pursue Tarot Reading as my destiny.
Life is full of surprises, some pleasant and some not so pleasant. But are we prepared to deal with it? Rather wouldn't it be better if we are forewarned?
When taking those important decisions in life like buying a new house, deciding on a job, choosing a life partner, or dealing with crisis at work, negotiating with a difficult client, fending for ourselves
against a manipulative boss/colleague, how we wish we had an ally or a friend to guide us?
All of us believe that bad things can never happen to me, but sometimes destiny has something else planned for us when we are busy enjoying our lives! And then when we are suddenly plagued by our
misfortune we wail the unexpected "But why me?". Don’t we all wish that we are forewarned so that we are prepared for the unexpected! How perfect right?
While life could be dainty today, within a fraction of a moment we could be experiencing the other side of hell. Sometimes it is very difficult to comprehend what is happening, especially when we are
caught in the grip of intense emotions or profound fears. This is where tarot can be so useful, because it holds up a mirror to the situation about which we need guidance and truthfully reflects it back to us. It is also quite objective and always shows us how things really are.
"Maktub" (destiny) has it that I should touch lives the way that Tarot has touched mine. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than practising Tarot and I have decided to pursue it - so here I am.
